Chapter XXII: Portrait of a Murder
The newest chapter brings in another killer and survivor from the minds of the Dead by Daylight team! I always enjoy seeing licensed killers but there’s something special for original characters. Now I am a little late for this one so let’s jump right into it, shall we?
Carmina Mora – The Artist
Carmina Mora or as Dead by Daylight players know her as The Artist is the 26 killer to join the ranks of the killers.
As always this killer comes from a sad background. Mother leaves at a young age leaving herself and her younger brother with their father. She takes the blame for the mother leaving and raises her brother till an accident happened, causing him to drown.
Her backstory goes into detail about her life but basically, at the end of it her hands are cut off and her tongue removed. She had formed a bond with crows and when she screamed, they came to her aid but also attacked her friends.
She brings in another Hex perk and the second hook perk.
Difficulty rating is intermediate.
Your act of servitude to The Entity has not gone unnoticed.
Each time a is hooked for the first time, Grim Embrace gains a Token.
Upon reaching 4 Tokens Grim Embrace activates:
The Entity blocks all for 30/35/40 seconds.
Of the Obsession is revealed to you for 5 seconds.

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
Overwhelming pain reverberates outwards.
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
The Generator with the most Progression explodes, instantly losing 9/12/15 % of its Progression and starting to regress.
Survivors repairing that Generator will scream, revealing their location.

You reveal the true power of the Totems, hidden within their remains.
You see the auras of cleansed totem.
You can perform a ritual on a cleansed Totem to resurrect it as a Rekindled Totem.
The more Rekindled Totems you create, the greater their effects:
1 Totem: Reduces the Repair speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %.
2 Totems: Reduces the Healing speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %.
3 Totems: Reduces the Recovery speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %.
4 Totems: Reduces the Gate Opening speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %.
5 Totems: All Totems are blocked by The Entity.
When a Rekindled Totem is cleansed, its remains are consumed by The Entity.

Jonah Is a mathematical mastermind. He worked for the CIA as a codebreaker. But when on his sixteen birthday he received an unaddressed card. It had nothing but the following numbers: 8, 25, 19, 44, 1; -20.37, -69.85; 13, 2, 26, 11, 1
It was a puzzle he would be followed by – unsolved- until years later after some errors did for the CIA he found himself in an old town by a gravestone. The numbers were the spot, his birthday, and the day he would enter the realm and join us in Dead by Daylight.
He brings in another boon totem perk.
His difficulty rating is easy.
You have calculated how much energy you can risk expending.
Whenever you become injured, you retain the Movement Speed burst for 2 additional seconds.
Overcome causes the exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Overcome cannot be used when Exhausted.

You quickly analyze problems and correct others’ work when they make a mistake.
You start the Trial with 1/2/3 Token(s) and gain a Token each time you succeed at a Great Skill Checks, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens.
Each time another Survivor cooperating with you on the same generators fails a Skill Check, Corrective Action consumes 1 Token, transforming their Failed Skill Check into Good Skill Check instead.

When it seems like your number is up, you consider ways to recalculate the odds.
Press and hold the Active Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.
Soft chimes ring out within a radius of 24 meters.
Survivors inside the Boon Totem’s range benefit from the following effects:
90/95/100 % bonus to the Recovery speed.
Unlocks the Self-Recovery ability, allowing you to fully recover from the Dying State.
You can only bless one Totem at a time.
All equipped Boon Perks are active on the same Boon Totem.

This chapter also brings us a new map: Eyrie of Crows.
This is the only map in the Forsaken Boneyard at this time.
In the dust-choked expanse of the Chilean desert lies a graveyard abandoned by the living, battered by the passage of time. Only through violence was it once more given prominence, hosting the gruesome murder of the artist Carmina Mora and her friends.
Within The Entity’s realm, the humble lot has been twisted into a grand celebration of the bloody events that took place. A towering crypt offers a roost for the crows to observe the trial, beady eyes gazing with fascination, never forgetting the day they fed greedily on the flesh of screaming men and women.
