Another weekend of exciting Valorant professional play concludes in the North American Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers 1 event.
Open qualifiers were held over July 1-3 leading to eight teams duking it out for the first 4 spots in the Closed Challengers Playoffs. The top three teams in the Closed Challengers Playoffs will get a ticket to Valorant Masters: Berlin!
Close matches, amazing clutches, and surprise results in this first Challenger series made for thrilling results.
The bottom four teams were Pioneers, Gen.G Esports, Rise, and Version1. It was a bit of a surprise seeing Version1, who has a strong showing at Masters: Iceland, fail to clinch in the top four. These teams will get automatic entries to Challenger 2 on July 29th for another chance to qualify.
Your top four teams, in seeded order, are:
- Sentinels
- XSET
- 100 Thieves
- Team Envy
Sentinels suffered a second-round loss and needed to go through the lower bracket beating Pioneers, to qualify. They then ran through Team Envy and 100 Thieves without losing a set before winning 3-1 to XSET.
Challengers Playoffs will happen sometime August 11th-15th.
Starting after this tournament, the new agent KAY/O will be permitted to be played.
