Valorant – Stage 2 Challenger – Qualifier 2 Results – Finals Seeding Set

Once again, the NA Valorant pros failed to disappoint with another exciting weekend for the 2nd qualifier to the Stage 2 Challenger Finals.  The bottom 4 from the first challenger’s got automatic entry with the remaining 4 that needed to qualify the weekend before.

There were many hard-fought battles.  TSM’s dominance in the open qualifier sadly fell short on their run, bowing out in the second round of the lower bracket. Immortals will also not be returning to the challenger finals.  A fan favourite, Sentinels started with an early scare by losing their first match against Andbox and needed to fight their way through the lower brackets.

Coming out as the top 4 were:

  1. Sentinels
  2. Cloud9 Blue
  3. NRG
  4. Andbox

Of note, I got my wish from last week and got to see a matchup of TenZ on Sentinels face-off against his former team in Cloud9 Blue in the finals.  Sentinels had to do the full run on the gauntlet, in the lower bracket to come out as the top seed here in the second qualifier.

Here are the matchup and seedings for next week’s Stage 2 Challenger Finals:

  • 100T vs Andbox (April 29 15h00 EST)
  • Version 1 vs Sentinels (April 29 15h00 EST)
  • Team Envy vs Cloud9 Blue (April 29 17h30 EST)
  • XSET vs NRG (April 29 17h30 EST)

The brackets are set up for double elimination.  All games are best of three except the finals are best of 5.  The top two will qualify for Valorant Stage 2 Masters in Reykjavik, Iceland at the first international LAN!

I’ll be watching and cheering on my favorite teams!

Quick international note:

The Korean Valorant team, Vision Strikers, was known as one of the most dominant pro Valorant Teams.  They had the record of winning 104 matches in a row.  This came to an end in qualifiers where they ended up losing the F4Q 2-1 in a 15-13 OT loss.  Vision Strikers still ended up qualifying for the Korean Challenger finals this coming week.
